Cheesy Bacon Fries


  • 3 rashers streaky bacon, chopped
  • 100g cheese, grated
  • 800g potatoes, peeled & chipped
  • oil for frying
  • ranch dressing, optional


  1. Place the bacon in a frying pan and cook over a medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned. Drain bacon on paper towels.

  2. Fry the chips in the oil, or bake until golden brown & crisp.

  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high.

  4. Place the cooked chips in an oven proof dish. Sprinkle them with the grated cheese and bacon.

  5. Grill until the cheese has melted.

  6. Serve with Ranch dressing if required.
